A Story of love and pearls
Stemming from a passion for marine life and all that can be found underwater, mixed with an eternal desire to create, the adventure of Kalinas Perles began in St Barth. With the desire to give an identity to each piece of jewelry it makes, the brand takes its name from one of the first ethnic groups that populated the Caribbean.
The fascinating world of pearls offers endless choices to create: Tahitian pearls are renowned for their pearly colors ranging from emerald green to eggplant, while Australian pearls are characterized by a gold or silver color. One the rarest, natural conch pearl, is known for its fiery pink tint.
CULTURED PEARL JEWELRY DESIGNER
In addition to our meticulous selection of pearls, we possess a unique know-how in the use of quality materials such as hand-rolled kangaroo leather. Jeremy, the creator of Kalinas and Tainos, designs timeless, customized and totally modular jewelry, adapting it to the client’s every desire.
Inspired by the land and sea, the use of other materials such as old coins, shells, vegetable ivory, coral, opal and precious stones enrich the creations of Kalinas and Tainos with unique and original jewelry that still carries a story beautifully told by its creator.
JEREMY, FOUNDER OF KALINAS PEARLS
Jeremy was born in Provence into a family of divers and was naturally drawn to the fascinating world that lies under the surface of the water and the wonders it has been offering him since he was a child. It is just as naturally that he chose, a few years ago, to live on the island of Saint-Barthélemy, a small stone lost in the middle of the Caribbean Sea.
There, he created the Kalinas & Taïnos boutique with a desire to “design” jewelry that resembles him by using pearls from Tahiti and Australia, shells or precious stones. Every year, he travels to the other side of the world to find the most beautiful pearls, the best materials and other rare objects before isolating himself in his workshop, leaving room for his imagination to play around.
For Jeremy, a sensitive and attentive soul, his clients are his primary source of inspiration. Their vision and desires remain the driving force which allows his jewelry creations to always be totally personalized and unique. That’s why he decided to become a Cultured Pearl Jewelry Designer !

Located in the heart of the city of Gustavia and on the only paved street of the “capital” of St Barthélemy and St Tropez, the Kalinas & Tainos boutiques welcomes you all year round from 9:30 am to 8 pm, Monday to Saturday.
